Magnitude of the Dynamically Induced Emf

Magnitude of the Dynamically Induced Emf:
By using Flux Cutting Rule we can get the magnitude of the dynamically Induced Emf.
¤┤ = ∟(B & V)
B= Magnetic Field, V = Velocity of the Conductor.
Therefore the Magnitude of Dynamically Induced Emf, E = BLVSin¤┤.
Only the Active length of the conductor is considered as only in that part of the conductor Emf is Induced.

Direction of Dynamically Induced Emf

Direction of Dynamically Induced Emf:
The Direction of Dynamically Induced Emf is Known by Fleming's Right Hand Rule.
Fleming's Right Hand Rule:
  • Stretch the Middle Finger, Point Finger and the Thumb such that they are perpendicular to each other.
  • Middle Finger Shows the Direction of Dynamically Induced Emf.
  • Point Finger Shows the Direction of Flux Density.
  • Thumb Shows the motion of the conductor.
  • The Direction of the dynamically Induced Emf is Outward Perpendicular to B & V.
  • B= Field Direction, V=Motion Direction.
